FREE PREVIEWQ: Who is this course for?
A: In simple words. It's for beginners to aspiring artist. But allow me to elaborate on this a little. I am talking about stage rather than time. You can be painting for 10 years and never had a solid training therefore you are struggling to reach the level you want. You can also be painting for 3 years but with very intense and formal training so you are progressing at a very good rate. If you are struggling to progress and unable to find which direction you should work towards, this course is for you.And if you just starting to learn how to draw/paint and are looking for a good system to train, this course is for you as well.
Q: Why do I need a higher tier.
A: With tier 2 and 3 you have access to me more directly and you take the priority. While I wish to help as many students as I can, my time is limited. If I try to help everyone, then no one will be getting any quality help from me. Think of tier 1 as a lecture hall that host 300 people. And tier 2 as a classroom of 20 students. And tier 3 as a small group of 5 students. The course material can be the same, but the interaction and individual attention are vastly different.
Q: Will you be able to take individual lessons rather than the whole course? I could certainly use help in specific areas but I’m not starting from scratch having been an artist for a long time.
A: Currently, there is no plan for individual lessons. Since everyone may have different need, it will be difficult to design a course that's for everyone. However, students who enroll with tier 2 or 3 will be able to ask question and feedback in the closed group people. I will be able to answer the questions there. tier 1 students can also open discussion in the course, but tier 2 and 3 students takes priority.
Q: I need to know if you can access the course anytime you want or you must attend some specific hours.
A: The beauty of the online course is to be able to access it anytime, anywhere as long as you have internet access. Up on release there will be a rich amount of content for you with updates and contents along the way!
Q: Will this be a monthly subscription thing?
A: No! This is not a membership system. You pay once for the course and that is it! Tier 2 and 3 students will have access to the close group for 6 months. But the materials will always be available for you after the 6 months.
Q: This is a watercolor course, why do you include perspective and drawing lessons.
A: We are all living in a 3-dimensional space. And you need to learn how to paint a believable painting by looking at things 3-dimensionally. Learning perspective is to learn how to analyze a 3-dimensional subject and translate it to 2-dimensional space visually. So while perspective and fundamental drawing can be dry and boring. It is better to learn those things in the beginning than come back to it later on. You wouldn't build a house without a foundation, same goes for learning painting.
